Hi, is there anything you can do to help soften hard nails (toes nails in particular?)..

My cousin has just asked me if there's anything you can do or products you can get to soften them a little and i havent got a clue!!

I have seen products in boots before but no idea as to whether they are any good but havent heard of any proffessional brands that can help with this...

I'm not really sure i think one of the geeks with more experience will help u....but my opinion is soften hard nails is by filing them to make them thinner...because when u some times file the natural nail more than necessarily it will be thinner...xx

Thanks for your reply hiba!:)

just bumping this up to see if anyone else has any more ideas..?

Absolutley not! This can only encourage split weak nails.

I know this keeps getting mentioned in posts but the use of solar oil to mourish the nail and prevent it becoming brittle is advised. Keep them well manicured with regular buffing to encourage the circulation.

I find hard nails are associated with rigid and hooked nails.
