I have bought the 15ml bottle and the liquid inside looks clear. I have seen on the net the 68ml (2.3oz) bottle and the liquid inside looks more yellow/orange. How is this?

It is a yellow colour hun,
if it has been near any sunlight it will fade and lose it colour, mine on my desk has gone clear, hth

I see DOH! so even if it does fade like yours the properties in the product doesnt fade does it? You know like when perfume is in direct sun light.

Actually I have tried this a few times, colour varies from dark yellow to almost clear. I think it could be the fact that the natual oils in it varies in colour from harvest to harvest, but I don't know for a fact:)
If it smells right it's ok, you can deffinately tell if they are not ok...

How can you tell if its not okay? Does it smell completely different?

I didnt know the colour varies, makes sense with the harvesting theory.

Dont think so hun, mine still works fine

You would know if the oil was off because you would have to take your nose away from the bottle. Hard to describe but you would know!

Thanks guys you've been brilliant.

Is there a use by date on solar oil?

As already said the smell is very different when it's off, so if it's still the sweet almond smell it should be ok.
I was once told that an opende bottle of solar oil will last a year, but don't know if it's true. I never think about it actually, as I use mine a lot faster than that.
But to prevent the oil going bad you should keep it in a dark, cool place. I don't always do this with mine, but I do have it in my drawer, not on my desk. But if you don't use them up as fast, this would help prolonging the life of it...
HTH:hug:

Yes that is what I do with everything I have anyway, makeup/skincare/nails etc.

Thanks :)
