Solarseale cap stuck!

Has anyone any idea how to open a bottle of adhesive after gettin the cap stuck!? hate when it happens xx

I stick the lid in the crack of a door then shut the door on it as much as I can to hold it and turn with all my might. Pliers, and maby a little acitone on a q-tip and rub it along the lid.
