Hello All,
I have just bought myself a back-up spray tan machine. I have been using an ambermist airbrush compressor with a paasche airbrush, learnt to spray with it and have never had any problems, recently though my business has been picking up and I am now more of a full time mobile therapist rather than a part time so my poor little machine is working quite hard. It doesn't take long to cool down between treatments when I travel but at parties or group bookings it doesn't get time to cool down altogether. I have been concerned that it will die on me in the middle of a tan. I have back ups for everything else but never felt it worht the expense of another machine until now.
My main concern and where I need the advice is the fact that I havent used an HVLP since training and dont want to mess up tans on regular clients with my new machine.
Is it more difficult with an HVLP ? I wanted to get another compressor but after a bit of research felt that the HVLP would be better as It dries clients and is quicker. How long will it take to get as good with the HVLP as I am with the airbrush? I was told in training about 10 sprays is usually enough practice, but since I have been spraying for a few years now will it still take that long ?
Many thanks
Nikki
