Hi ive recently enrolled onto a acrlyic course which is in 2 weeks time. Do alot of people request gel nails?? i would like to do this course as well but do not know if this is a worth while investment for myself! I have also asked a local hairdressers if i can rent a table within there store. She has said yes and theres a table there for me when im ready.. I would also like to go mobile as an extra should i think of a nail i can use as both?? if so can people please help with ideas as im struggling with this and would like to get some flyers done to advertise myself. Also is there any good offers and pricing people could advice me in using? Sorry for all the questions but as you can see im very new to all this and dont want to mess it up.
Thanks
xx

Why not begin with the acrylic course and once you have mastered that, go on to train in gel. It is a good idea to have skills in both as I would say gel and L&P are asked for, it's just personal taste, some clients like L&P some prefer gel, and ir sometimes depends on your client's nails as to what is the best option, depending on what the client wants the end result to be.
Your course should cover pricing structures and marketing, I would say to hang fire just now untill you have done the course and had time to practice and perfect your nails, after you have comlleted the course, although you will have the knowledge and know the technique of enhancing using L&P you will need to practice before you can start charging for your nails in a sallon environment. Maybe start on family and friends charging your product costs untill you are confident, then think where you would like to go from there, you don't want to jump in and maybe not meet clients expectations, and maybe get a bad reputation?? The experts make it look easy, but it's not lol, but with time and lots of practice it gets easier, once you have been doing your family and friends nails, you will get a feel of how long, how much product you are using etc and can think about advertising and any special offers you might offer.
Hope you enjoy your course, I am sure you will!! let us know how things go hth x
