My 14 year old son hates his curly hair, keeps asking about having it chemically straightened. Is there any alternatives to chemicals?

Regards

to keep it straight everyday...not really, unless he wants to spend the time to blow it out and flat iron it. Sorry :(

I do lots of males hair who have it chemically straightened,
I don't suppose there is any reason other than his age
why he should not go ahead with it as it does not go on the actual scalp ?
and as long as he has got your permission to have it straightened ,
it may give him loads more confidence,

but do go to a reputable salon
I like the Wella strate myself as you can use the hot iron method
within the actual straightening treatment
and this method gets it poker straight  x minky

Ps its better if he has a bit of length in his hair first

i agree with minky, it shouldnt cause a problem to him and will probably give him more selfesteem as he is obviously worried abut it. but..... i think he should keep his curls!! hehe. my boyfs hair is curly and he used to have it al shaved off but i made him grow iot the past year and he's grown to love it!!! but i guess when youre older you accept the way you are more.
