Hi,

I am interested in getting a job in a spa in the near future, I currently am a qualified complementary therapist (Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology) and have also taken courses in Hot stones, Indian Head, Pregnancy & Labour Massage, Sports Massage.......Am I a strong enough candidate for a job in a spa, would I need to do any courses say in facials, waxing etc??
Hope someone has the answer! Thanks!

think you would tick most boxes - go for it.

Sounds like you have all your massage covered which is what I always looked for when hiring spa therapists, waxing isn't that important in a spa environment. You have a great range of holistic and massage treatments you are able to offer I say go for it!!

They would love you in a spa.

I work in one and basically the treatments I do are body massage and facials. Occasionally a few wraps plus manicures and pedicures. Not really too much waxing or eye treatments so I don't think that would be too much of a worry.

I have found that the massage only therapists there tend to work shortened days as it can be a bit hard going all day. Although saying that I'm not massage only and did approx 4 1/2 / 5 hours today!!! If you can cover a lot of hands free and deep tissue (I see you have sports massage so that will be great the clients will ove you also) you will be fine.

:D Thanks everyone, you have been really helpful!! I shall go for it!!
