Hiya everyone :)

I just qualified in november and this has been bothering me for a while, it does tend to happen mainly when i do my own nails but i panic that it happens to my ladies that i do also no that any of them has mentioned or i have seen.

Lifting!! - bain of a nail techs life eh!

ive googled it a few mins ago and read that a 1mm space around cuticle and sidewalls then make flush so you dont feel or see an edge?

Isnt 1mm quite large on nails, i mean there not huge themselves? from pictures i have seen i do tend to see a wee gap around cuticle and sidewalls, i think this is maybe where im going wrong and not leaving enough round my own nails, hence lifting, mainly on my middle fingers!

How much of a gap do you tend to leave?

thanks in advance!

Hi

Yes it is 1mm gap you are ment to leave but don't forget that you do feather the product into the natural nail so you dont actually see where the product starts.

hth

yeh that helps loads, thats what my tutor told us too do too, feather it into side and cuticle.

thanks alot :D
