Spanish speaking countries

HI @all!

I am wondering how other countries are doing in nail design for example the spanish speaking countries?!

Do they have magazines like the scratch magazin here in the UK to be up to date?!

How is the training in those countries - I know about German speaking and Russian speaking countries but what about the warmer parts of this world?

Spain has one of the best trainers in the industry Gigi Rouse CND and i am sure there are others in Spain too,
we have a few members lucky enough to live over there so im sure they will add to this,
i have no idea about the magazines but i am guessing that scratch mag would be happy to ship overseas as they always seem very helpful.

Well firstly you can't generalise and lump all Spanish speaking countries together ... they are all so different. You've got European Spain and then you have Latin and South America.

Spain as you can imagine has up to date info and several beauty magazines (nothing all nails) BUT nails is still a new industry here and unless you live and work on the coast or in Madrid, you won't find ladies falling over themselves to have their nails done.

The best nail technicians here are from other countries: the UK, Germany, Holland; the Spanish technicians themselves have a way to go yet from what I've seen. There is interest but not the experience to teach them how to be really great technicians ... it's beginning to happen though .. takes time. the really good technicians here do very well.

The enlightened Spanish ladies LOVE having their nails done (every 2 weeks without fail) and they love them to look perfect ll the time. They are not so hot at arriving to their appointments on time though!! :lol:
