I completed my C&G Waxing in July and would like to do a second course in Bikini/Intimate waxing as I find most ladies who are asking for a Bikini Wax want more off than I feel trained to do!
I had a lady last week (luckily I do know her very well) who wanted just a strip down the middle. It was going fine until I got further in where the skin is more squishy, and also the hair was very long! I was finding it hard to remove the wax in this area as it was getting stuck to the skin and I wasn`t sure if I should have trimmed the hair first.......anyway it all turned out ok in the end (after my silent panic and sweating) but I felt out of my depth and!! I have read about the injuries that can be caused in this area:eek: so I would like to do a day course locally to clrify these things and so that I can sucessfully carry out a Brazillian and Hollywood!

Anyone know of a reputable company near Brighton??
Thankyou xx :)

hi there! im doing an nvq waxing course in windsor at the carlton institute but they do , do a 1 day hoolywood and brazilian course for those who are already qualified in waxing . this would give u a diploma and would allow u to e insured , another good wax course would be the hearts and essex acadamy , now known as the beauty acadamy , which has courses all over , in stanstaed, cambridge . st albans . dartford, woking . milton keynes and birmingham . im sure there is also a good course in southampton too but i cant remember the name of the company . will check it out then let u know . i think its the southern school of beauty . but dont quote me on it . u may find u have to travel a bit to do ur course as i found there was none near me either ! good luck with what ever u decide ! let us know

Sally's do intimate waxing courses.

As for intimate waxing problems you had, firstly if the hair is very long it's advisable to trim first. This stops the wax conjealing on top of the hair creating a mass of wax you cant remove.

On the fleshier bits the easiest way of removing the hair is for you to ask the client to pull her knickers at the front realy tight, like a 'wedgy',this actually keeps the skin taught enabling you to remove hair easier without the risk of bruising.Small sections at a time helps minimise the pain,as you grow more experienced you will be able to do larger areas with ease.

I really enjoyed the course and the exam wasn`t as scary as I thought it was going to be, just be confident in your ability and i`m sure you`ll be fine!
I had no previous experience of waxing even on myself so was a complete novice....got a distinction, so if I can do it then you`ll be fine!

Thanks Babs, with regard to the wax conjealing on top of the hair.....that`s exactly what happened!I did do the wedgy thing and felt comfortable in pulling the skin tight and in the right direction but it just really through me when the hair all got stuck and then the wax wouldn`t remove........I don`t know, the scrapes we get into!!!!
Cheers for your help

It can be scary when the wax dosn't come off,the only way to stop this happening is to trim the hair first, you will be amazed at how a little time trimming the hair can make things a whole lot easier.

I remember in my early days, after just leaving college, sending a client home with wax still stuck to her:eek:,I asked her to wash it off in the bath.I tried everything to get it off, horrible situation to be in but it can be avoided:hug:

A trimming I will go from now on!! lol x
