I had a lady in for nails yesterday and she had REALLY naughty kids!!
:( They knocked over some of my nail resin and its gone all over the laminate flooring in the salon, I dont want to use acetone to get up incase it takes the colour out of the flooring so don't know how to get it off! any ideas!! :(

Acetone is the only answer really. You need a solvent and any solvent could damage the floor.

Maybe you could take the worst off but not down to the laminate. Otherwise just leave it there. It is clear after all. You can probably claim on your insurance but major hassle!

Just goes to show that kids and salons just don't mix

Thank you for your reply its very much appreciated!
I will give that a go, what a nightmare!! :( xxx

I am wondering if you just put a drop of acetone on the spot and let it soak into the resin, being careful not to over saturate so it's puddling on the tile floor, and doing a little bit at a time might loosen the resin and release it from the flooring. I would suggest not rubbing it as that will affect the flooring.

Resin does break down with water, so maybe trying water in the same way may work too.

Hope one of these works for you.

I had the same thing happen but the child also managed to get it in my eye!!! i was a very happy bunny.............:irked: Oh the joys of unrestrained small ppl!! lol. Anyway i digress, i tested acetone in a corner of the room and it did nothing to the floor, so just used it to disolve the resin by soaking it and blotting with a paper towel (did take quite a while just to warn you!!) hth x
