Splintered acrylic panel

Hi all. I've recently opened a tanning salon - last Saturday actually- and the clear acrylic panel seems to have become splintered beneath the surface. Its been like this since day 1. Has anyone else experienced this issue?? Its beneath the surface so can't be cleaning product related. Thanks.

Temperature changes can cause all sorts to crack, my washing machine door just did yesterday. Just happens.
