Can anybody recommend anything for a very thin nail which keeps splitting further down the center, I've been using CND's toughen up but its still splitting. My friend/colleague took upon herself to file a broken L&P down with a 180 file after picking most of it off!!

L&P overlay and just keep going until it grows out.

Personally, I'd do a fibreglass repair and overlay, and give it lashings of oil, to help it recover.

Well looked after the fibreglass should grow out naturally, albeit a gentle infill will be kind enough if needed. I wouldn't extend at this point....just protect and nourish it and let it grow.

I would also advise to do this with silk/fibre glass or a NNO with either acrylic or something like Mani Q:hug:
