Our manager (ashley) is doing a peruvian horse trek in aid of the Blue Cross.

She needs to raise around 3000 but is stuck at around 400 we really need help to get her going, so we're open to ideas to help from a page on our site to physically asking clients we'd like to know what you'd advise that is proven to raise funds.

we have a website setup for her The Blue Cross - Peruvian Horse Trek

which is gaining some attention but not enough ...please help

I did the Great North Run last year and one of my treatments (Indian Head Massage) was in aid of it. So for my mobile clients, the IHM cost the same but I donated all proceeds. I didn't see it as working for nothing, it also did work out well for me in the long run as I gained a couple of extra people (I spammed everyone I knew via email). So how about you do a similar thing in the salon, say for a certain "special" treatment 50% goes to the charity for a set period of time?
That way, it shouldn't affect profits too much and you also might get new clients through the door - and you're not putting prices down.

A collecting box in full view of clients on the till works well too - you'll be surprised how often small change mounts up.
