spray tan disaster please HELP asap

I got my sister to spray me on friday with la disco so its qute dark and after a few days my hands and wrists always go patchy so i showerd this morning and my hands got worse so stupidly i exfoliated one hand off thinkng i could match it up again but ive just tried my own tan and also re spraying my hands with disco and its still REALLY noticeable!! because the tan was dark i have a big uneven line on either sides of my wrist that i dont think will even up as the tan develops as its still very noticeable after re spraying, anyone any ideas??????? its nice weather today so dont want to be stuck in jumpers for days lol

Also does any one know why i always get patchy hands and wrists after a few days when the rest of the tan is fine? My sister also gets it xx

Are you using a strong hand wash or soap free hand cleanser that could be stripping it on the hands and wrists? I would do a search on "removing tan" as there are loads of suggestions as to how to fade tanning solutions. I would have suggested blending in the gap with a cream tanning solution with some tint so you could be accurate, but maybe you should wait to see what happens where you have resprayed. :hug:

thanks for your reply. i put moisturiser over the line to stop it going darker but the line is still really noticeable. I'll have a look at the handwash ive been using as its only my hands that seem to go like this. i recently moved back to my mums so it could be something different she has here. i should have just left it insted of exfoliating it off. xx

Hi Allison

Did your hands go patchy when I sprayed you with the disco? If not then it could be that I did spray you lightly and this could be the problem.

With the disco in particular you prob have to pull back quite a bit more than normal when spraying the hands.

The only other thing I can think of is dry skin on the hands?

no they were fine when u done it. It happens after a few days so could be a combination of different soap or spraying too close as my sister has been doing me. sprayed my hands an hour ago and still no sign of my hands and arma evening up lol. just placed my order for la gold and 2 litres of disco. what did you order?xxx

I am going for the gold plus the 12% and disco.

The line is engaged all the time! I guess it's no wonder with these prices.

Have been getting positive feedback from the gold, clients saying they would get it done again so that helped me decide. I thought It would be worth trying the 12 as this may fill the gap between the gold and the disco?

they said the 12 was like disco when sprayed but was lighter when showered i went with gold and disco again as ive used them quite a few times. they told me you can mix gold with disco to give a darker colour than gold but less than disco so going to give that a try on my sister this week. do you get spray tans yourself every week? xx

I get hubby to tan me when we have a night out but I should really get sprayed all the time to show clients the results. Prob every 10 days would be fine for me.

Mixing the solutions might be a good idea, keep me posted. Between us we will crack this spray tan malarky!(lol) :hug:

i think ill maybe just get it for nights out from now on. between lack of space in my mums house and a 19 month old that NEVER sleeps im strugglingg to find the time to get a tan myself and maintain it but im so white underneath. I must admit im not the best at moisturising so after about 5 days my arms normally need exfoliated off and i cant get a fresh tan every 5 days. My legs always stay perfect though but my feet seem to rub bits off with shoes xx

Yea I think that would be best, then you don't end up with dha overload and problems.

If you can't bear to be pale you could maybe just use the LA gold to take the white look off and then it would fade better and be less fuss, i.e. exfoliating etc. You want to be a good advert for your skills and not have patchy bits due to getting sprayed too often and with dark colours too.

Finally got through to La tan and have placed my order. If you fancy trying the 12% you can always pop by one day.

thanks for that. meant to ask for a sample but forgot while i was on the phone I love having a dark tan but it alot of work evry week. I could even get a light one on top and disco on my legs as i feel confident enough to wear a skirt with disco when i dont normally with other tans. xx
