Hi where can I research what makes a good spray gun? Sounds daft but Iv got a Fakebake one and have no issues but I’m starting up again and not using FB (i don’t think) and I’m sure it’s all moved on since?

If it works then don't worry and dont change it. It depends which make it is (fakebake is just the brand) but most machines nowadays are either Earlex or Maximist and both are good and reliable so if it works dont change. You should be able to change solution and just adjust the flow depending how thick or thin your new solution is x
