Hi all - can anybody tell me what the approx shelf life is for litre bottles of unopened spray tan lotions please?. I have got 2 which i ordered in May this year but unfortunately i had to abandon my mobile spray tanning plans owing to other committments and if i start again it will prob be Feb at the earliest!! If anybody can let me know that would be great - many thanks

Does it say on the bottle? I dont think its goes off as such and wont work but it will turn green color and might even spray on green in some places. I was told 3 months for the solution I used to use by Naturasun.
Since I changed to Sienna X Iv not had that problem as its such a popular brand I have to buy new solution before the 3 months would be up anyway!

............thanx Karen, i also use sienna x as its going to be a while before i go back to it i guess i'll have to accept a loss this time (bad timing!!) -

Call up Sienna X and ask the shelve life. I dont actually know as Iv never had a reason to know, like I have mentioned.
I did have a bottle of 8% and the other day I noticed the top once you open it has gone green, it was only the wee bits that stick to the top of the bottle. There was only enough for about 2 tans so I just threw it out as I had a new bottle anyway.
If it is coming to the end of its life you could maybe put it on ebay or gumtree etc see if someone would take it!

Hi, i just recently trained with Sienna x and they told us the shelf life once opened was 6 months and unopened was 12 months. Hope this helps :)

I've just bought some today and it says 12 months on the bottle x

thanks for replies girls - thats great if its 12mths xx

Make sure its stored correctly. 12months is always a guide. A product left in heat and light or fluctuating temperatures will deteriorate quicker than those kept in the fridge or a cold, dark cupboard.
