Has anyone had this happen? My friend has breast implants and each time she has a tan they don't take!! Is this something to do with them being cold? Any experiences on this or idea's of anything i could do?

Temperature shouldn't cause this problem.
Was she very ...eh-em small and did she have relatively big implants relative to her size.
It could be ,like shins,that the skin is overstretched or very thin to these areas.
Oh I do love this job..beats the heck out of talking construction LOL

I've seen this happen before but have not been sure if they have had implants or not. Its interesting that this has been bought up and I will keep an eye out in future and ask the client next time. Colins right it shouldn't be temperature as i manage to stain many cold things from time to time LOL! On larger breast i do go over with a circular motion, but sometimes even this doesn't seem to catch. I would be interested in any other feedback anyone else has on this too?

Due to the implants the skin is stretched very tight (like on a drum lol) if you look when you have sprayed this area the spray does not soak into the skin like it does on the other areas,
it kinds of beads and just sits there

I have'nt a a **** job and find my ****s never go as brown as the rest of me, I go topless on hols so cant be anythin to do with that, a few of my friends are the same ! tried respraying the area but they still never go as dark?? xx

I find on sunbeds I don't tan as well and the same with spray tan. And I wouldn't say the skin is particularly stretched in that area of me!

Silicone implants are colder than the rest of the body (after sunbathing they can be hotter)
I have found that clients with these implants should use hot water bottles for half an hour before a spray tan and there are no problems then - HTH

interesting post ! I've recently had a BA (aug) but not had a spraytan since, because of healing etc, but not all skin after a BA is really tight and stretched ( after the healing stage ).
I shall have a tan this weekend and post my results after

Me and my friends have discussed it in the past - no matter whether it's sunbathing, sunbeds, spray tan, doing your own tan etc, your ****s are never quite as dark as the rest of you. I wonder if it's something to do with them being more tightly fitted in clothes, like they rub on your top more? :green:

I have a few clients with breast implants, and certainly none of them have mentioned anything - I will ask next time I see them.
On a similar note though, I have noticed that on a lot of women who have had babies, their tummy never goes as brown as the rest of their body. I always thought this was probably due to the skin having had been stretched so much when pregnant.

Iev sprayed a few people with inplants and had no problems at all. one is my cousin who i actually saw and asked the day after the tan (as i was quite new) any problems after tan and she said no. Abit of bronzer on myself works wonders x

in areas where the skin is taut like shins are areas where there are sometimes there are problems with tans taking.
Someone who has had implants where they really have gone to large the skin is severely stretched and problems such as this can more often occur

We have lots of ladies with **** jobs and I find that giving them a hot water bottle (wrapped in a towel) about 10 mins before the spray tan, to hug, seems to do the job. I am naturally very big (g cup) and have no problems, other than the tan pooling inbetween them sometimes!

:lol::hug:As a tecno question....even with a breast implant ...are you slim on the chest I.E. not a lot of flesh under the skin around the chest area or do you have a reasonable amount of body flesh around this area as I do think this is a vital issue here?
Oh and undoubtedly the bra thing can "rub" a tan out...more so one that is to large for the breast size which causes more friction against the skin as opposed to a correctly fitting bra:hug:
