Spray Tan problem/new boss...

Hi guys

I've recently started renting a room 2 days in a week in a lovely salon and it's going very well, I get on really well with everyone and the owner is lovely.

Only a few small problems. Firstly she has a nail technician who comes in a couple of days a week - I've not met her yet but she does a bit of waxing and tinting, so when she uses the beauty room she doesn't clean up after herself! Like leaving the spatula in the wax pot, not throwing away used wax strips, etc etc. I'm new to the salon and don't know how to approach the owner about this? I'm very H&S concious!

Also I had a spray tan done yesterday by the owner. She used TanTruth, and to be honest I don't like it. It took AGES to dry, ran all down my legs, and today I'm practically orange.

I want to do spray tanning myself using either Fake Bake or Tantrick, I don't know how to give her some constructive criticism, what if the clients have this spray tan and come out the same as me?!

You really must say something about the mess straight away as gradually these things that annoy you will become something that will really infuriate you.

You just need to be more assertive and more confident in the way you come across, remember it is your business and you are paying rent there is nothing nasty about saying to someone 'oh by the way you forgot to clean the room when you had finished in it last time' or i would quite like to use such and such a tan solution as it has a very good reputation or it is what i am trained in.There are just ways to go about things but do it with confidence you do have to get like this in business as you are going to come across all sorts of people that will try and get you to do things you dont want from clients to sales people.Just harden up a bit.
