Hi guys :)
I'd like to set up a mobil tanning company mainly for parties, but not sure if it's a popular this time of year. Or maybe I should wait till Easter ready for the hol's. Can I get your experienced advise pls? Thank you.

This is one of the best times of the year to get into tanning and find a bargain you could be trained and ready to spray for the party season
October and early november is usually quiet (although i have noticed tanning has become less seasonal over the last 3 years ) trainers and company's like us have training sessions available and you will find great offers on equipment as its the lull before the storm:):)

Agree with Steve, there really is becoming no true season with tanning anymore. Of course with most things xmas and summer are going to be busiest but you can establish a steady flow of regulars through the year.

People are always going on holiday, getting married, having birthdays, anniverserys and wanting to look good.

You will find it better to create a larger database of clients before xmas then after easter as its a shorter period of time and then you have a nice database to market too over the following years.

Good Luck x

Generally speaking if we look at the levels of spray tan solution consumed in the UK there is a definite seasonal trend, some therapists may well see a more even trade however as a whole the season starts late spring through to late summer with a further increase November through to early new year catering for Christmas/new year parties etc .

When is the best time to enter the sector..well any time is good however in your specific case if you wait until Easter you face the dangers of establishing your business when the "silly" season has already started.

You would perhaps be better advised to start setting your stall out now...shop around for the many bargains to be had on equipment at this time of year..get your training done and then start practicing and getting your marketing strategy in place ready to pick up the second "silly" season phase due to start early/mid November.

This way you would have fully prepare yourself, become proficient with the application and already started to build up a customer base ready for next years main season.

HTH

THANX FOR YOUR HELP. i'LL GO AHEAD WITH CONVICTION! dO YOU HAVE TIME FOR SOME MORE QUESTIONS...
DO YOU KNOW ANYONE/ A COMPANY THAT COULD TRAIN ME IN SE LONDON?
DO I HAVE TO USE SAME PRODUCT I TRAIN WITH?
I HEARD THE HV5008 MAXIMIST SPRAY GUN IS THE BEST, IS THIS TRUE?
CHEERS FELLOW GEEKS

Can't comment on the maxi mist, I've never used it, but I hear only good things about it and about the T200, or is it the T300:confused:
All the main suppliers offer training with or without kit, I would suggest you have training with kit, the price breaks are much better that way.
Most training companies have people all over the country that work for them so training locally to you isn't a problem.
No you don't have to use the training companies products, your cert says you are trained to deliver the treatment i.e. spray tan not trained to use xyz product.
Who ever you decide to train with, before parting with any money give Babtac, salon gold and The guild a phone call and make sure that they recognize the training company and will insure you.
I like others do have my preferences as to who I would train with and I have listed them in the past, the important thing is to make sure they will spend as much time with you as YOU need, reassure you that you can always contact them with any questions and that you will receive a training manual that you can refer to until it all becomes second nature.
Good luck hun:hug:
