I am buying a siennax spray tan machine booth secondhand this weekend but i have a fake bake course on spray tanning that i have already booked this monday is there much diffrence in the courses and equipment. can any one advise me ?:)

Hi ,I can't advise on siennax as I have never used it.I have however used fake bake ,solglo, heshi, cocobay and tanning solutions. The method of application is pretty much the same and the results varied depending on the quality of the solution(and price). However I have trained on two seperate courses in order to gain access to their solutions and yes they where pretty much the same.My advice to you would be to use friends and relatives and guinea pigs until your satisfied with the results.
Hope this helps?

I dont know about the courses but there is a lot of difference in solution. Fake Bake offer 2 shades that dont give you a percentage and Sienna have loads of different shades. You also cant beat their customer service. I really don't like Fake Bake, their solution or their customer service. Other geeks on here love it. So I guess it's just personal preference.
Good luck with your training hun xxx

thanks for all your help. i enjoyed the course and have done another spray tan yesterday. her hands turned orange HELP,,,,

Hi there - a tip is to make sure that you always have your client hold her palms facing away from the direction that you are spraying in - as even if you are not directly spraying her palms (albeit by accident) there will inevitably be some overspray. Also - always remind your clients that they shouldnt touch their bare skin after being tanned otherwise the solution will go on their fingers. I usually advise long loose sleeved tops after tanning.

Also - re your solutions. My advice would be to go with the best available solutions that you can afford. I use Nouvatan 8% & 10% (and soon will be stocking their 14% - its a lovely product), Sienna X 12% and VaniT Velocity. This gives a good range of excellent products for my clients to choose from and there is something for just about everyone - whatever their preferences and skin types. Other geeks here are mentioning great customer service from your provider - don't underestimate the importance of this, esp when you need advice and guidance, ideas for marketing, and a fast delivery of solution.

Very best of luck to you with your business!
Sharon xx
