Spray tanners! Just wondered how you avoid brown soles of client's feet!?
I used to use Sticky Feet but just ran out so I read a useful post where someone had advised putting vaseline on client's feet and then puttin each foot onto a piece of kitchen towel or couch roll. I also lay down a fresh towel.
But... my client today lifted her foot said "will the tan come off my feet?" and i saw she had really really brown soles of her feet. I know from experince that even if you scrub this it doesnt come off easily.
Any other advice?
I also had a friend with really mega over tanned thumb yesterday but the advised baby oil, body scrub and lemon juice didnt help! Argh!! Sometimes i think i will give it all up :-(

it sounds to me like your going a little to heavy on the hands and feet.. in these areas less is more just flash them over, if the soles of her feet are brown that would suggest to me that the couch roll was soaked with tan, have you got the gun turned down correctly? as for the hands i have posted some pics from our training manual on my personal profile of how to tan hands have a look at them HTH

Awww thanks Steve i will take a look at your guide :)
The feet problem is a mystery to me though as I don't even tan feet, I start from the ankles and let the mist that falls down take care of the tops of the feet but you might be correct about having the machine turned up too high. I am having probs with the machine not picking up solution so may have it too high..

what machine you using??

mmmm not the best of machines to be honest... fort a few ££s more you could of had a maximist and that would of got you 20+ tans from a litre
but your machine is ok and there is no needto buy another if your not using it constantly :D:D
fill the pot with solution then turn the dial by the trigger clock wise untill it stops (tight)
unscrew(anti clock wise) 1/2 a turn and spray onto a piece of couch roll it should look coloured but not soaked if no solution comes out unscrew 1/4 of a turn each time untill you get the desired result ( coloured not saturated) one coat over the body is all you need as the skin can only absorb a small amount of dha, spraying extra coats of tan only increases the strength/colour of the guide bronzer, it will look dark as you are layering on a makeup but the washed off colour will be exactly the same !! HTH

Can i just add i had a woman say to me her feet were dark last time so i made sure a clean towel was down etc, left her to get changed went bk and her feet were black from the floor! we mop at least once a week and only do abt 6 tans a week! that day we mopped 5 times an there was still tan coming up. x
