I did a spray tan on someone other then a family member the other day. The tan kept splattering in places and also ran down her hands an other places, even though I applied a barrier cream he room I was doing it in was quite small so I tried to move around the best I could. It hasnt happend to me before Was it bad technique on my part??

splattering would indicate a possible problem with your gun although I suspect from the other problems you describe its a classic case of to much solution being applied and tom slow a movement across the targeted area.....try turning that gun down and check it is working OK on a couch roll hung on a door.

How much solution are you using...should be around 45ml max dependent on what machine your using

Thanks for your help  It's the HVLP HV5008 machine. I think I used about 40ml. Another thing my client said she found the spray on the gun really powerful ( she said she had to catch her breath a couple of times and never expierenced this when having a spray tan). Do you think I need to just turn the gun down?? I'll try the couch roll test too.

40ml is pretty good given the machine your using and having re read your original posting.given your latest info....and given that you have not had this problem before ..... im guessing that you simply have been cramped for space and perhaps sprayed to much around the hands..with using a barrier cream(which isn't necessarily) it will run over the barrier treated areas and accentuate the problem ..I guess put it down to the working area being to tight to obtain the maximum tan outcome
