I have had a lady enquire about spray tanning ( I use Tantrick) but she has had ops on her legs and has quite large scars.
She has asked how the scars would cope with the tan (would they go dark? would they not tan?) and i wasnt 100% hence asking my fellow geeks..

Hi, I have a very large scar (hip 2 hip) and it reacts fine to spray tanning, mine looks no different than if i had a natural tan. However everyone is different.

What i will say though, scar tissue often has a 'shiny' surface and so probably wouldn't absorb the tan well, therfore i don't believe it would go darker IFYKM?

Hope that i've been of some help and haven't confused you further lol

unfortunately as has already been mentioned every scar is different due to the way it heals...some will not effect, some will grab the solution and some will repel it if it has healed with a shiny surface.
The only way to find out how this customer will react is to unfortunately try it.

Hopefully it will be fine however if it grabs the solution next time try a little light moisturiser wiped on with a Q tip to avoid getting moisturiser onto the undamaged skin area ...this would create a white outcome as it may block the solution into the skin.

If the tan is repelled by the heal the only answer is to apply make up to blend with the tan tone.

HTH

In my experience, scars don't tan naturally..............but they take a fake tan and it disguises them better. Same with 'silvery' stretch marks.
