Just a few questions.....I'm using the T200 machine and wondering when you spray do you continuously keep the trigger pulled in as you are spraying or do you release after each 'sweep' (if that makes sense!!) Not sure whether it makes a difference or not but just wondered.
Also do people find they need to do double spraying or is once enough? I use Tantrick xx

There are many different thought process on how many coats...1 or two etc.

One with a quick wafting over does the trick for me as this picks up any missed areas :eek:or can be used to add additional solution to hard wearing areas or areas where the customer wants additional tan...legs face etc.

On the release issue...well generally release when getting to bottom of legs etc but on faces no and likewise the back as you would spray up and down across the entire width of this area.

I can happily send you another copy of the spray manual you should have received when you were trained by us which sets out the various options.

Hoping business is doing well for you

This is something that we do cover on the Tantrick training,
you release your trigger after each sweep (pass) this keeps the air pressure correct in your solution cup and give the same even mist on each pass.
You should only be spraying the client once and using no more than 50 mls of solution, ideally less but this comes with practise, hth

Thanks both of you, will have to dig out my training manual!!! With regards to the 1 or 2 coats its just as some people are saying they'd like it a bit darker so gonna experiment on a few friends!!!

Sarah,
what we do when we take you from being a complete novice having never sprayed before is to teach you in a way which covers the majority of possible problems you will face once you start commercial tanning.

What we also do through this teaching is to send you off with the basic confidence to start to adapt the basic methods taught to suite your "specific" style and your customers "individual" needs.

If you have a customer who wants more applied..and your confident as a therapist to do this and feel her skin type can take it without going into DHA overload...well what the heck and good for you...go for it.

If they want it a bit darker use a stronger % on them or tell them to wait until it has developed, as it does go darker over the hours than what it looks like when applied,
or you can use the booster drops if you don't want to invest in more % solutions,
but don't let them dictate to you about using two coats, it costs you twice as much and i bet they don't want to pay twice as much

Hey Loubylou
Can you use the booster drops with any/every tanning product?

Ta Lorraine :)

You can use Tantricks boosters drops with any of the tantricks solutions,
not too sure about using it with other brands as i only stock tantrick but Collin will know if it can be used with other brands, hth

Hi Lorraine,

the booster drops are simply 35% DHA concentrate without colour guide and as such will increase the % outcome of any DHA based volumized solution.

Obviously there are different grades of solution out in the market so you might have to add slightly more drops to boost these up.

As a rule of thumb its 1 drop per 100ml solution increases the overall DHA content of a volumized solution by +1%

Given the variant qualities of solutions on the market you may have to increase this to get the same result.

I spray twice and still only use around 30 mls on average, doesnt have to cost twice as much! I think you get a better coverage with two coats and less chance of missing any areas, this was how I was taught :green:

Yeah I did think if my gun was turned right down and do 2 coats then there is less overspray but they still get a good coat!!!
