Am really excited but nervous at the same time, as i have no idea at all when it comes to nails, not even good at filing my own nails!! have never even had then done! But am really looking forward to learning and im just going to take my time with it!! I have become absolutely obsessed with nails though. Cant stop looking at everybodys hands!!! Am even dreaming about them!! Keep looking at videos on youtube!!.

Do you think i should buy a nail trainer before i start the course so that i have it at home to practise on as soon as i start the course? Or do they supply them and you buy it on site at the course, does anyone know?

Wish i could fastforward to the end of August now!!

I bought my own so that I had one for after the course, the other pupils hired them and were able to take them home for the duration of the course.

I used mine for many months and found it very useful and although I eventually sold it, still wish I had it sometimes. HTH

Hi There, i would just like to say "You go for it" ! I just love to see and hear the enthusiasm that i felt when i read your thread. Good Luck to you and your doing exactly what i always tell people to do, Find the people and places in life that will help you achieve your goals. You have chosen the right course with the right company to really have the best start i believe, I'm sure you will never look back now. Julia x

I remember feeling exactly like you at one point...and i completely understand where you are coming from....I pick up on your enthusiasm, which is infectious, and you have the right attitude....just take it S.L.O.W.L.Y!!

The one good quality(of many!) a CND educator has is passion, and i am sure you will be fine.

Regarding a hand trainer,i never purchased one,i liked to have as many practises on live fingers, however it is not a bad idea to purchase one.If i remember CND did supply them at a deal, but things may have changed.

It is best calling hq regarding this:)

Otherwise,good luck,have patience,and enjoy:hug:

I would wait until you're shown what to do properly before practicing - don't want to be picking up any bad habits and turning them into a habit of your own!

Might help to read up on anatomy and manicure prior to the course?

I feel your enthusiam :green: You will love the foundation course - I wouldn't worry about the fact that you have no knowledge at all...sometimes that is the best way to be, you won't have to unlearn bad habits. I bought a nail trainer so I had it as soon as my course started and it became my best friend (and worst enemy when I couldn't get smile lines right :irked:) but I couldn't have done without it.

The very best of luck with the course - you have chosen well

Thats a really good idea, what book would ye recommend me to get?

No i wont start using the hand yet until i have started the course, sure all i'd be able to do at this stage is shake the hand lol!! and knowing my luck i would pick up a bad habit!!

I'll ring CND and find out about the handtrainer. Thanks for your replies

Just wanted to say Hi and goodluck with yor course I started my CND course on Saturday and have just finished day 3 and it's been fantastic the training is excellent and i'm amazed at how much i've learnt in 3 days. Hope all goes well for your course.
You can use nail trainers provided on the course for the duration of the course if you don't want to buy your own.

CND Eire might do things differently than in the UK ...Best to check with them and not rely on the experience of others in the UK.

Have a great time on your course .... I started just like you .. never even knew nail enhancements existed until I'd seen my step mother's and before you know it ... I was hooked! Twenty five years down the line and I'm still hooked and as passionate as I ever was.

Big good luck on your course :D I am a little tospy turvy and have bought a hand trainer before I even find the money for my course!

There is a very good chance that my hubby will be paying for my course for my birthday though wooop!

Enjoy your course and hopefully, a few months after this post, I will also be on my course :D
