Hi, I am a hairstylist but my question is for my daughter who at the moment is taking her nail course. When she is ready to start work she wants to work with me through my shop at my home. I have people coming and going. Is there any helpful hints to get her started. Its a small town so word of mouth is everything. Discount ideas? pricing for newbies? A place in town charges $70.00 new, fills $45.00 and one of the girls just got her training done. month or so.

its really important she takes the time to really practice doing nails, It may take a few months or longer before she could start charging full prices.

So many people train then go straight into a salon environment to work on clients nails, charging full price. This could lead to a lot of problems for your salon.

Pricing for newbies sounds like the way to go. She could slowly raise the price the better she gets.

thats what we were thinking, she is doing real while on the nails....She is picky and is artisty and loves doing nails. At the moment it is working on speed and remember ALL the steps. NSI is what she is using. Right now friends and family.... some others are wanting to also.... but I am waiting to make sure nails stay and etc so far so good. When her speed is better then we wll work pass that. She has a second job that is 4 days on and 4 off. So taking off to fast to soon is not a problem. So quess we are on the right track.
