Hi everyone,

For years i have been fascinated by everything involving tattooing and cosmetic tattooing. I have taken the step a few months back to start my course in pmu in the beginning of november. I have all kinds of expectations but would like to hear from others how they experienced their course.
Was it much more difficult then what you innitially expected?
What did you learn in your foundation course?
Do you have any good advice for me?
What should i be carefull for?

Anything that you want to share is more then welcome. I dont know directly any permanent make-up artist so thought to see if there are any over here on the skin geek

 i am excited and very nervous at the same time :green:

hi i did my training 6 years ago now so it is probably very different now but we did lots of theory then went straight in to practise, i loved doing eyebrows and eyeliner but lipliner i found difficult to master, it didnt help that the client i did was very squimish!!! we also did it on each other!!!

who are you training with??

Its the same for me. I got the theoretic part sended to me which i have to study and i will do an exam on that before the practise *very thick book*
I will also see eyeliner application, eyebrows and lipliner. The course that i will do is a private course so no group training. I am just very nervous since two of the models are my mom and sis. i know they arent very squimish but my thirth model is and she will get her lipliner done which i heard is the moste painfull part.
We will use aneasthetic creams but i was wondering how much it actually helps? Some say it was nearly painless and others will never go trough it again...is it just because it varies from person to person how sensitive they are?
I will do my training in Belgium with a company called elegance cosmetics. I heard great feedback about them and some great pmu artist have had their training there + the equipment is high standard.
Is it hard to pick the right pigments? i am not so very scared of the procedure itself but that a pigment will change a lot more in the skin once applied then how it looked in your pigment cup

i think the main thing i learnt is that the colour once done will fade by half once the scabs have healed and also the thickness of the lines will go by half aswell so most people come back and want them darker of thicker!!! also the anesthetic creams are great i found the eyebrows the most painful but most people say the eyeliner!! i think it all depends on your own pain freshhold.

i would say just practise practise practise like with everything you can only get better, im quite arty so found that useful.

good luck enjoy

If the company has a good reputation, then that's a great start.

Don't worry too much about doing anything wrong at your trainng as your pressure probably will be too light to make a permanent mark.

Aside from the technique, you really need to understand what colour you should use on different skin tones.

You'll love it and it's very rewarding. Good luck doll. xxx
