Hi I’m new to the site so not sure if I’m even posting in the right bit. I did my beauty therapy qualifications 10years ago. I’ve trained and worked in different things entirely since but I’ve slways wanted to go back to beauty. I’ve fell into becoming a Mua recently purely with friends asking me to do their makeup and it’s snowballed. I really want to learn ow to do semi permanent lashes and nails! We didn’t do these things in college, beauty has definitely progressed. I’ve looked online st courses and I’m so confused! I’m from the uk and I want a reputable course and to set up properly with insurance etc . Can anybody help give me advice on where to start? Thanks for reading.

Capital hair and beauty advertise courses too

I’ve done MUA day courses via the wholesalers but the 2 I did were very basic and I honestly wouldn’t be happy to recommend them.
Presumably, your previous beauty qualification will cover you for doing basic MUA work?

I’d recommend looking for specialist courses run by the product brand rather than generic courses for nails so Young Nails, Nail Harmony, OPI or CND, for instance.

Otherwise, if it’s make-up specifically, you could look at the specialist make-up courses available such as,

I'm looking to upskill this year too! I did my level 2 about 5 years ago and Swedish massage 4 years ago. Going to do gel nails first and then hoping to book on with noveau for LVL. Will be blogging my journey here xx
