Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend.

I'm writing a feature on Stiletto nails and, as always, would love your input! I'm looking from advice from techs and educators on sculpting the perfect stiletto shape, plus useful hints and tips.

I'd also like to hear how popular the stiletto shape is becoming among your clients - do you have any clients who can manage a long stiletto on a regular basis or do you advise clients to go for 'mini stilettos' so they're more wearable?

Plus of course, I'd love to receive your images (high res / min 300 dpi) of super crisp pink and white stilettos plus stiletto nail art that you'd like to share with our readers. I'll be putting together two features - one for Guild News and one for Nail File mag so the more info / pics the better please!

Many thanks, Melissa x

This is a Gold Glitter Tip Stiletto I have done :)

Probably the most important things for me is not to panic and rush the sculpting, also make sure your bead isn't too wet! The form doesn't absorb any moisture so the bead will be difficult to shape. I tend to blot my bead before applying it to the form to make the stiletto tip!
With clients I usually recommend a medium to short stiletto for durability and workability!
Though some of my clients do like the long classic stiletto look, which I personally prefer myself!
Xxx

Don't think the last pic worked so here it is again xx

Hiyas

I think you need to clarify do you want true stiletto nails, very long and pointy or long almond/gothic almond nails.

Maybe add a picture of the sort of nails your looking for, true stilettos are not done a lot as most clients find them impractical for every day life.

:)

These are some that I've done at college and in training x

Like what's been said already, most clients won't touch true stilletto nails and go for the more wearable long almond shape :)

I find stilletto nails showcase nail art amazingly and to achieve a beautiful sleek nail is to pinch the nail really well :)
