Hi ladies

Ive got to do 3 sets of nails for next Mon so to fit them all in ive got my friend straight after work tomorrow,my only worry is will have to keep my kit in the car while at work for 4hrs but we have been having an extreme heatwave here and the past few days my cars been like an oven, what should i do with my kit? will it be ok i.e boot, under front seat etc, thanks

xx

If nothing else i would at least take your monomer out of the car to prevent any issues x

Hi,
I agree at least take Monomer out with you, and any gels. I have known gel to set in extreme heat even with the lid on.
I bought one that was set solid when I opened for the 1st time, my supplier had to exchange it for me, it had probably been near a radiator or some extreme heat ????
Good luck.
Lotsa luv x x x x

No, your monomer will not be OK and you could loose your car!!

A nail tech not so long ago had a horrendous incident where her car caught on fire because of leaving flammable products in it during extreme heat!! the vapours were thick and heavy and she stupidly lit a ciggy and BOOM!

I never leave mine in the car, all those flammables scare the life out of me!! I'm sure someone suggested keeping things in a cool bag?! Anyone know if this would be ok as products would then be exposed to very cold temperatures????? If its possible, then maybe that would work to keep things cool for a one off. Hopefully some of the experts can say yay or nay!! xxx

Definitely take your flammable liquids and gels with you. I made the mistake of leaving my gel in the car and it made a mess in my brand new nail tech bag :(

Cool bags might work... but only for a short time. Maybe 2 hours at the most? It'll also depend on how hot it is in your area.

I suggested in a thread that maybe a portable cooler box would work (the one you plug into your car), but I'll hurry up and say I haven't tried, and I'm not able to say if it's safe. (I suggested it to mobile techs to have their flammable stuff, when driving between clients, not as storage in the car)

Depending on the heat 4 hours is a very long time, even with cooler bags/portable cooler box. I honestly wouldn't take the chance....

Take your kit into your workplace with you. I'm mobile and never leave my enhancement products in the car - when I'm driving in this weather I have my aircon on, when I get home I take my box into the house even if I have another client a couple of hours later.
