Good mornng all

Did my friends nails last night....used white tips and pink powder all over....as i started to buff the nails up I noticed (hard to describe) but kind of like marbling or streaking effect of the pink over the nail (mostly seen over the tip area), could anyone tell me what this is please? Only thing I could think of is could it of been my mix ratio?

Hiya ! it could be ratio or have you checked to see if there is anything in your brush ? xx

Could be your mix ratio, if you placed a drier bead and then a normal bead for example, the drier bead could of 'gone off' quicker and then there may of been a 'line' where you applied the normal bead if that makes sense?

What colour was the 'marbleing'?

it could also be that you havent placed enough product evenly over the nail so that when you come to buff the areas with less product will be thinner and cause this effect. xx

yeah i see what you mean but its not really a line...after id filed and buffed etc the surface of the nail was totally smooth (no steps or anything)...but the pink powder sort of looked streaky. pink and clear streaky (i only used pink powder tho) (oh and it didnt file away) I took a picture but you cant really see it on the picture.

I did have something in my brush before i started...but i did clean it thoroughly with my brush cleaner and fairly sure it all came out.

would there be a colour difference between say quite a wet bead and quite a dry bead?

yes there would hun, think of it if you where painting..if you added more liquid to your brush then dipped in paint, and if your brush was dryer not a lot of liquid and you dipped in paint you would get a more solid colour . so by using a dryer ball.....and a wetter ball you will have 2 different effects.......you need to use the same ratio and this is the same for working with white powder....you will notice if your ratio is out the white can look grey....etc

yeah that makes sense when you put it like that...thanx!

Other that what is said in earlier posts if you are using a brush cleaner then that could also effect it if there was still some in the brush.
When i bought my new creative brush it strictly said not to clean it in brush cleaner or anything other than the monomer that I use ( rententio+ CND).

just a thought

yeah maybe, im sure i was told that the brush cleaner for ezflow doesnt contaminate any of the other products, but i will bear that in mind thanx
