I was practising some nail art on tips this evening.
After about 20mins I went back to the 1st tip i had done and used 'out the door' topcoat to seal it in and the black stiper pen lines completely smudged with the 2nd stroke of the brush-what happened, it never did this when we were shown on thew course????

What make of striper pens did you use?

it was hollywood, i bought them from CND training academy after the nail art course!
maybe i had put it on too thick or something??? very strange!

hi
I was told to change my top coat as it was a quick drying one and this makes it crack and smudge.hth.xx

I think the solvents in the top coat 're-wet' the polish underneath when you use. Try a nail art sealer top coat instead. They are nornally thicker and made not to do this.

Also don't apply as you would apply an enamel,
you need to float the top coat over your design as lightly as you can hth
