I have a dear client who wishes to go Galaxy chocolate colour.
It matches up to wella 7/7..
My issue is she has very resistant 100% white hair that only gets full coverage in the /00 bases.
When I try base and 7/7 1:1 she throws off to much warmth and look translucent.
So far I have tried also
6.73 & 6.00 (to try and get it to pull deeper)
Everything is with 6% so far.
I'd be most grateful for your help and suggestions.
Thanks guys

You have to use the kp mixtone. You can't inter mix /00 with anyhing else. How to get /7 tonal quality? Sorry, maybe cams knows?

You can mix /00 shades with other shades.

Why not 7/7 with 7/00?

I'm sure its something like 0.5g /43 0.5g 0/33 and 0.1g 0/65 i knew them all but I've completely forgotten!

Sounds about right though!

Thank you guys!!
I'll give it a go.

You both do great work on here by the way.
Always appreciated :)

Why not 7/7 with 7/00?

Ahh! Your right! But wouldn't she be using 77/0 for resistant white?

Op, are you using the 77/0 or 7/00?

I haven't had good results mixing the 77/0 or 99/0 with other colors. It won't cover resistant white.

Yea you are meant to mix the 00/ bases with mix tone not the target shade. Never knew that til I done the corrective colour course in the Summer! I have 1 client whose hair is a nightmare for coverage. Always have to take extra care when mixing and applying her colour and always need more than usual too.

Yeah definitely no mixing double base with single base shades.

/00 shades are meant for that though, they'll help cover a bit more but its trial and error most of the time with white hair i find!

Ahh.. Apologies yes I have been using 77/0 or 66/0 for more coverage not the 7/00 I wrote.
I was unaware until following you guys that this wasn't the done thing
I may try 7/00 as a base as cams97 suggested with 7/7 to see if that touches it.
If that fails then 7/00 and mix tone.
Thank you again you've been really insightful.

Just try 77/0 with mix tone first go if i were you:

Just finished clients colour with what you suggested and it has come out perfect!!
You are the best.
It's been driving me crazy.
Thanks again cams97. If I am ever up in Liverpool I owe you a drink ;)
