Hi All,

Just wondered what you all wear for work in these hot weeks we have had & summer months?

Is there any type of material on tunics etc that is more cooler than others?

I wear the same black trousers & black/coloured tunics all year round, when it colder I wear a vest underneath my tunic & maybe cardi on top, but now it is so hot, I am finding my tunics to thick.

Does anyone wear shorts, long shorts, three quarter lenght trousers?

What do you wear on you feet?

Still want to look professional, yet be cooler, as my beauty room has been like a sanua!

x:hug:x

I know the feeling, Minx lamps and summer just dont mix. My tunics are nice but are totally the wrong material for heat.

Hi Emma, I know how you feel. Waxing legs in full length black trousers and a black tunic is a nightmare. My make up ran down my face lol.

On a warm day, I substitute my trousers for leggings as they are a lot thinner and wear flat sandals or pumps.

If it is very hot, I abandon my tunic and wear a black short sleeved blouse with very light black three quarter length trousers.

HTH :D xxx

sadly, i'm a bit of a sweaty betty :irked:
so i never wear polyester tunics even though i love some of the colours and styles they are available in. i always go for cotton poly blends and stay away from high necks too.
when its totally freezing i might wear a vest under but in the summer they are still cool. i usually choose a zip up style and lower the zip a bit in the summer and add some thin cotton capri pants with flat samdals to display painted toenails.

I wear cropped trousers and birkenstock flip flops in the Summer.

Thanks for all your replies :)
some great ideas there!
I think I will definatly look at cotton blend tunics, & might even see if I can get some plain black long t-shirts tops that I can get get my name/logo etc on & wear that with leggings or 3/4 length trousers. x:hug:x

Hi i have found the same, it has been unbearable in the heat in our salon so I opted for linen blouse and 3/4 trousers with smart sandles. SO much better.

I simply exchange my long sleeve black tops for short sleeve ones. Oh and my black Uggs for black open toe shoes. Apart from my arms and toes out, I look the same.

I had teeshirts made up (black tight with business name in gold) as was fed up looking for a tunic n the style I wanted in the poly cotton hate full poly it actually makes my skin crawl yuck! lol so far have gotten away with my trousers as they are really lightweight & my blingy gold sandals :) xx

Hi guys this great British weather is constantly changing,so when it's a hot sunny day I wear my Florence roby dress with sash, when it's a bit cooler I wear my leggings and tunic or black trousers and tunic.when it's winter I wear black trousers tunic and cardi(sometimes even a vest top underneath tunic) x

The poly tunics are really starting to annoy me, although they are so easy to wash. Switching to shorter trousers may help tho, going to try that. I cant get away with leggings, my little skinny legs look ridiculous lol

I wear black linen long shorts (just below the knee) and the pretty crocs - closed in toe with slingback.
Would love to know where to get the poly-cotton tunics though as the poly ones are just too hot!

I wear black maxi dresses, short sleeved or strappy if its very hot or black gypsy skirt with a little vest top and the short cardi thingy over the top.

try meltemi if you are looking for cotton tunics.

I wear 3/4 cropped trousers, Birkenstock flip flops (have to admit I wear these all year round even in the snow and Im a mobile therapist...I do get strange glares but so comfortable lol) and I recently purchased a sleeveless tunic from Simon Jersey....wish Id noticed it before it has two zipped pockets at the front and makes massaging in the heat so much more bearable........think it was about £16.99:)
