You should get a fitzpatrick questionaire sheet. It enables you to find out the customers skin type, so you can recommend the correct exposure times. X

Hi Hun,

I used to always buy a cream when I had sunbeds. I mainly used the ones with hemp in and I stayed well away from the ones that mad me tingle as I didnt like the feeling. I then went on to just buy my own bottle and a bottle of tan extender to use after my shower. The salon only sold the sachets and would order bottles on request. They mainly used Australian Gold.

ok thanks.. il google the chart and look at the cream too:)

do you think its a good idea to supply cream not sure if every salon does.. but would be great as a option if someone didnt have there own as a reatil product

ive seen some sunbed lotions but would the tan extender be the same you would get fo spray tanning if so do you know any good ones..

sorry im slow sometimes

i used to work in a sunbed salon and alot of people bought the little sachets and then if they wanted bottles we just ordered them in
its a good idea to pop a bin in the sunbed as well and a box of tissues/small counch roll or baby wipes/makeup wipes

hi a friend of mine has a sunbed shop and i do the odd day here n there, creams are a must have they help you tan quicker and prolong the life of the tan if i went to a sunbed shop with n creams i would think it was a bit odd lol, and if your sunbeds are good and people use you regularly you will find people buying bottles as it saves them money in the long run also my friend said she makes a good profit on creams:) australian gold are good and there are also cheaper 1s you can buy too its good to give your customers a selection. As for in the room you will need make-up wipes deodrant, googles and make sure there is a hanger on the back of the door for the client to hang their clothes, also is always nice to see couch roll and sunbed cleaner in the room so if the client does want to clean the bed for themself they can, i always do since i went on a bed and the previous person had used a tingle:cry: .......hth x x

ive ordered some sachets from australian gold and pro tan.

but cant find the tax extender sachets :irked::irked:

To your list I would add

Courses/Minutes cards
Membership Cards
Daily Signing in Sheet
Baby wipes/Make up remover
Deodorant

I'm surprised the company who supplied the sunbed didn't give you and free samples. Anyhow I use Emerald Bay, It has a good retail mark up and it's very popular in my salon. I buy mine from here Emerald Bay - Tan-Us.Net Ltd you'll have to log on to see the retail prices:)

FWIW, I've never heard of a sunbed tan extender, I doubt they exist?

bobbles for long hair? I always forget one ........

you could go to salonsdirect.com they sell bottles and sachets of creams quiet cheap and have a few "sachet display" offers eg 72 sachets, stand to display sachets, posters for £70. I find the website quiet hard to navigate through so i request their catalogue but i think theres a £5 charge so best to just order everything your after at once! x
