Hi, I would just like to know fellow geeks personal opinions on having sunbeds in your salon?? I dont have one in mine as I would feel like a hypocrite doing a facial on a client, telling her she had sun damaged skin, giving her lots of products to help her skin then giving her 6mins in a sunbed! However the salon near me does have a sunbed and I do get clients asking me if I would even consider getting one in my salon. hmmm...xx

I have always used sunbeds and used them very irresponsibily and have sun damaged skin now, personally if I went somewhere to have a facial I would feel a bit cheated if they had a sunbed in the salon because it is such a temptation. Sunbeds are an addiction! Eventhough I can actually see the damage they have done to me I still use them but nowhere near as much as I used to I just crack every couple of months
I dont think a salon doing treatments should have sunbeds because it really does defeat the object.

* How about a sunbed without facial tanners? Clients can get their bodies tanned, but keep their faces protected.

* Or why not try a sunbed with rejuvenessence bulbs instead of UV bulbs?

* Or you can even get a combination - rejuvenation or LEDs for the face, UV bulbs for the body, so the client gets the best of both worlds: tanned, yet a great healing treatment for their face.

PM me if you want any further help or advice on knowing where to get this stuff. And just so you know, this is not a sales pitch as I do not sell sunbeds (but I used to, in the USA, that's how I know about them)!
