Just a quick question - is surgical spirit of any use for waxing? I have a huge bottle which I bought ages ago for removing wax from equipment and its never been used (havent done any waxing is the reason...). My daughter is now starting waxing and have bought here seraclean - equipment cleaner.

This bottle is just getting in the way, our place is small and if of no use will throw away!

thanks

Hi I ONLY use surgical spirit to lif the hot wax off the laminate floor with a wallpaper scraper as nothing else shifts it.

We used to use surgical spirit in waxing years back instead of pre wax, to use on heels to toughen them up or to clean down surfaces. I still to this day use it on my nail desk. But do not use it for waxing.

Thanks guys. Think it's time the dear ole bottle was poured away and ditched....I assume you can pour it down the sink??
