Just a quick question: when you rent a space within a salon, is your stock covered by the salon's insurance incase of fire/theft etc or do you need your own insurance? Thanks in advance.x

You need to pay for your own stock liability insurance as although your in the same building you are self employed meaning that its your own responsibility, your stock and your liabilities!

hope that helps x x

Hi, Salon policies will not insure your kit/ stock as there is no financial interest.

Freelance policies can (but not all will) insure stock/ equipment as an extension of the Public Liability/ Treatment Risk policy.

You may want to cover the Money aspect as well.
