Hi

I am moving to Greece in April, and so i need to take a good stock of liquid and powder as well as acetone and everything else. We are going by car/channel tunnel and ferry. Does anyone know know of any maximum loads of taking these items or restrictions like you would on a plane?

Thanks

x

Hello. I import my acrylic/gels etc from China. I didnt think they could be sent airmail...........you should check. Maybe its just the gel that is the prob. I do now of people getting Gel off ebay.....I think you should check with the airline x

sorry....opps, youre not going by plane!!!!!!

I think youll find its not problem transporting by road, but I would recommend just checking Greeces import regulations. If you are moving out there officially, there should be some guide as to what you can take for business purposes and what needs to be declared available to you by the immigration bodies.

AFAIK, it is monomer that most airlines don't allow you to transport in personal luggage. Of course, there are legal ways of shipping restricted items by air....its the personal safety aspect that is an issue in carrying it yourself.

I would think ferries and the channel tunnel would have restrictions on flamable (or is it inflamable?) products. I'd give them both a call. x

True about not transporting flammables in tunnels, BUT, that restriction is usually for tankers carrying petrol or other big amounts of flammables. A gallon of monomer shouldn't be an issue, IFKWIM?

The issue is more what the Greek Government Customs will say at the border....

Good luck!
Nancy
