hi all spray tanners .:) am using la tan and was wondering how long drying time are ye giving your clients after drying them with the hose??? am currently giving them around 10 mins but im wondering if thats way more than they need ,?also am thinking of going mobile soon and because mobile tanning isnt big here yet(co. cork ),when you are going to someones house to spray host and friends, do you spray one person in a separate room to where there friends are ?and would you start spraying one person while another is drying off etc ?/ sorry so many questions but jus wanna no how ye operate this system ???

i normally allow 5 minutes max drying time. Providing the skin is not over saturated with solution it should'nt need any more than this. I never blast over with air either.
Being mobile doing tans also depends on space that is available and how comfortable the client is with being stood outside of the tent if you are doing more than one person.
What i normally do is spray the client and then allow them to dry whilst i am changing the solution cup. by this time they are dry enough to dress in loose clothing

Rest assured there are many customers in Co Cork that use mobile spray tanning therapists so you should do well if you market your business and yourself well

Good luck

hi colin . thats good to hear as i live in a town in the suburbs and no mobile tanning going on here so i really should shift up a gear and start advertising . thanks for that info diesel , why not blow them dry ?? should i stop doing this??

hi hun.
the only reason i don't dry with the hose is because i have no need to. i've been doing tanning for a long time now so i guess with speed and accuracy i've eliminated the need to air dry. Funny though back in the early days i used to carry a hair dryer with me to dry people!! x

oh i cant wait t be as speedy and confident as you are . i used to use an air compressor spraying st tropez for years so i no the technique of tanning its just trying to get used to the hvlp machine now , although to give myself credit im doing fine , except for one person who got the la disco . she wanted a really dark tan so i suggested disco, she done al the right procedures as she is a therapist herself ,but she didnt turn out that dark , in fact i would say a very light colour. i was surprised myself when i saw her the next day. saying that she is a very pale client .

i'm sure you will be just as confident vvvv soon. i know what you mean about converting to the hvlp from compressor though. It does take time to adapt.
I used to have some hellish nightmares when i first started and back then there was'nt enough support or education on hvlp tanning.
Regarding the disco on your client. i think it has been on here quite a few times where clients have come out paler than expected. not only with the disco but with other brands too. I try to think of every client as being unique. What works for one may not work for another. I personally am very pale yet can carry off a darker tan quite well although i do have to remove guide colour after a few hours! x

ya your right , maybe i should try the 12 on her wen my order arrives as i havent tried that one yet . thanks for the info and moral support ..
