I would ask them what is in this tan that makes it fadeless and how it works!

Thanks for the info

Anytime! :)
I'll make the phonecall next week.

Hello there
I have some information that may interest you.
I made the phonecall and it is a spray tan that lasts 2 weeks, it is skin-friendly, not tested on animals, it contains DHA and aloe vera, once applied you mustn't wash for 6 hours and the customer can buy a body cream after the application to maintain the tan.
The tan forms gradually after the application.
I hope I covered your questions and as for the name and the company that produces it, they will send me some leaflets with more information.
Hope I helped a bit!

Doesnt sound different than any spray tan system that also has creams to maintain the tan? Why is this so different?

Look forward to hearing more:hug:

I don't think this differs that much from the rest.
It was just the way they presented it in the leaflet.
However the lady on the phone especially insisted that it does last 2 weeks whereas the common ones last only 6-7 days.
As I am not a skin geek I don't know what is usual in this case and what is not.
I just thought I should ask just in case it was something different. :)
When I get the name I'll post it here so you will know!

Thanks rtheoni

It would be great to hear which product it is as I just reckon they are using clever marketing techniques to make then look different than any other when in fact they are not.

Keep us posted.

I can get my tan to last 14days... it will be no different to any other out there.

Loads of companies use Aloe Vear...

I'd like to bet that they tell us that it contains DHA/Erythrulose combination.....and that is what makes it last longer. In theory, it will outlast a DHA only tan, but only slightly, but loads of companies use that as well as DHA only now....so it wouldn't be that different. Probably just old hat marketing.

what brands use a combo?

Crikey...loads. Sienna-X, Celebrity Secrets (at least the React one does...not sure of the natural one) Naturasun, Bali sun. Vani-T too I think.Too many for me to know off by heart and provide a comprehensive list.

I'm sure some of our tanning suppliers on here can advise as to whether any of their solutions contain it or not, as well.

a ha! i used a bali sunsample and loved it - tought it lasted longer! must try the others now! you learn somethin new everyday!
thanx!

i thought bali sun was discontinued? we used that in the salon and we had to change to heshi tan earlier this year...... because it was discontinued,,,,,?

I was looking into this the other day as the next step for tan solutions would surely be a cross between the spray tan and the tan injection.

Anyway here is what I discovered:-

* Melanotan that is in the tanning injections can travel transdermally. The tan injections were originally created for drs to prescribe to people who were sensitive to the sun, but like most things such as Viagra and Steroids they are available on the open (but illegal) market.
* The pharmaceutical industry have created the first ever spray that delivers this ingrediant transdermally, activating the melanin and causing a deep all over tan for four - six weeks. However the catch is its a little spray bottle that you only need to apply a small amount on one arm for it to work all over!?!
* Now for a cosmetic to travel transdermally it is technically no longer a cosmetic but a drug. A drug needs a license and the health risks would increase ten fold.
* This is still in its trial stages so has not as yet hit the consumer.

So unless this woman was in some sort of unknown clinical trial ~ which to be fair could be the case as they managed to this to soldiers during the war then perhaps theres the teeniest tiniest chance she is telling the truth! But I doubt it!

She may have accidently sat on a tanning injection needle without realising which coincided accidently with a spray tan. Oooo theres an idea for increasing our revenues. We could be sneaky and jab a tan injection in our clients bottoms when they come for a tan and we are doing the back, or when they have their eyes closed and spraying their face. People do not feel pain if they cannot see it...... By the way I am joking!!

Anyway geeks I would say that the 4 week tan is conceivable and may be on the shelves sooner than we hope. Nothing surprises me. After all some people put poison in there skin in the form of injectables.........

Sorry just my 2 pennys worth......................................
