Tan treatment for Vitiligo

Hi
I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of any form of treatment/cream for vitiligo?
My partner has white hands and feet - esp now the sun has been out and he is looking browner everywhere else. He is paranoid and frustrated about it.
I have tried spraying his hands with my solution, but him being a builder and having dry knuckles, it looks terrible, even with moisturiser applied beforehand.
Any suggestions would be great fully received, I've told him to go to the doctors next week. X

What % solution do you use? The only thing I've seen is make up to blend the areas with the normal pigmented skin.

But, if he's a builder he might baulk at the idea of make up.
