About as far South as you can get!
Helloo again

Just thinking out loud (I'm doing a lot of that lately, :))

Now I'm based in a salon, do you think I should offer a bath robe to clients for once they've been tanned, before they put their clothes back on? I'm sure they wouldn't use it though but would you think it was a nice gesture if it was you?

xx

When i was working in a salon at the beginning of the year, we offered them one of them waffle ones, in black. Its surprising how many used them tbh.

You mean that they were used a lot, right? Not that it was a waste. How many would you say I'd need? If no-one uses them, I'll take them home and use them there :green:

I have one black waffle robe.... but its never been used up to now.. maybe it is because I am in the room while the client gets undressed ?

Yeah loads used them

Go off how many tans you do a day, and if you do many party's.

I think its a good idea to have them, it gives that extra touch that other salons in your area may not have.

Try some where like primark, you can pick them up really cheap there.

Thanks guys  I think I will get some as I am planning on doing parties so they'll have something to get changed into while one's having a tan and I won't have much time wasted while waiting for someone to get undressed.

I'll have a look and see if Primark have a website. xx

Primark dont have a website!!

Hi

I think I read somewhere that you can buy disposable black paper-type robes for beauty treatments? These would be ideal for tanning.

I'm taking part in the national tanathon thingy on sunday and these would be perfect!:)

Anyone know where I can get some?

I have seen some in Beauty Express and I am sure Ellisons do them too.

Both have websites now but won't be sent out in time for your tanathon on Sunday. Have you not got a Primark you can pop onto tomorrow?

:) hi great idea to use robes ,thinking of doing tanning party soon they would be great, bit nervous doing a party as don,t know how many to invite, was thinking of about 7 people ,any tips would be great.:)

Hi Sians

I haven't done a tanning party yet either but I think 6 or 7 would be the maximum. I advertise mine as 'if you book a party the hostess gets hers foc but there has to be a minimum of 6 people including the hostess'. Also I would do this around the hostesses house as I think it would be more relaxing for them, so I don't think I would need robes for this as I would just suggest they either wore the usual black loose clothing or bring an old robe of their own.

HTH's and good luck :)

:) hi yes i think 7 is enough too, ive never been to a tanning party would like to make it bit special maybe try get some one to do nails too ? any ideas would be great.

Hi

What spray tan solution do you use? Personally I use Tantrick and I tend to base my parties around the solution.

I make it a Strawberries and Rose Party for the Essence of Summer solution and for the new Autumn Gold (Vanilla Spice) solution i will be promoting it by giving complimentary goody bags with Vanilla Coffee sachets and Vanilla candles in them!:)

Hope this gives you some ideas!

Happy tanning!

What an excellent idea Julie... its the simplest of ideas and going that extra mile that make the difference to success or not.

Oh and good luck with your tanathon tomorrow

hi yes i use tantrick too, not try the new Autumn Gold , will have to ask for a sample great idea though thanks, if i like the colour will give it a go at a party, has the Autumn gold got a % or is it something like the summer of essence.:)

Its a little darker than the Essence of Summer...I sprayed my daughter two days ago with Autumn Gold and she normally has 8 or 10% of my Tantrick bronzing solution... but she is very impressed with the colour of the New Autumn Gold... when she showered off the following day, hardly any colour guide seemed to come off and the tan had developed to a gorgeous bronze, natural but yet a different bronze to the 10% Tantrick. She was very happy with the colour and it smells of Vanillaspice which is an added bonus :)

Its been especially formulated as a “intelligent” single solution application for all medium to dark skin types. Offering a dark long lasting tan. Enriched with aloe vera and moisturiser with just a hint of vanilla fragrance.

Samples are available for anyone who wants to try some.

This is a great ides hun :), would you do this for individuals too for example on their first tan? Something along the lines of 'Come and try NEW Essence of Summer/Autumn Gold from Tantrick and receive a free gift' *terms and conditions apply

Might get people in the door which could then lead to a party?

Could definitely get someone interested! By the way, just been to primark and bought 2 hot pink cotton kimono type dressing gowns (£6.00 each) - these will definitely cover up someone's blushes after their tans!

Easily washed after parties too!:)

Thanks Jen - for the Primark tip!
