Hiya
I've noticed that quite a lot of people have many spray tan clients. I started spray tanning in January and don't have really many customers. I have a few regulars that come every week but thats about it. I have a facebook page, advertise in the local hair dressers, my car has an advertisement on it also. I charge £15.00 if they come to me & £20.00 if i go to them and have never done a party. I've never had a complaint about a spray tan either and i think that i do this well - friends have had it done and there has been no streaks etc. I'm just wondering what im doing wrong - as surely i should be booked out most thurs & fri nights but thats not the case. Any advise would really help! x x x :irked:

I don't know if its the same in the city as it is in smaller country towns but I find it's all about Word of Mouth - this has been the most positive and effective form of promotion for me. I've got lucky and have had a few fantastic customers who have told loads of people about me and that has brought in good business, many of them have said that they get stopped and asked where they get their tan done and this helps to and because I only opened in Nov customers ALWAYS ask me how I'm doing - I always give a good positive response and tell them how lucky I have been to have had such fantastic customers who have told others about me... then I find on the whole these customers then ask to take away leaflets/tell me they'll promote me and this seems to be working.

Ive noticed when i spray my sisters or anyone really people see the tan and then get recommended to me and this is a brilliant way to get business in.
Perhaps you could try going into town (with a tan on) and promote yourself and give leaflets out. Your a walking advertisement for your business
