Hiya, yep, 1 would be a 'see through - never tan's only ever burns' type. 6 would be very dark meditteranean type skin, 3 medium skin type... I normally get the client to fill in their own cards then check them afterwards...

Dont know what you mean about only being able to use the cards once, I dont use tantrick cards, sorry.

Hello Fellow Geeks,

I have my first client later on for spray tanning, just wondering when I fill in her client record card where it says skin type - how do you know? It goes from 1 (light) to 6 (dark)

Is it a case of thinking 1=5% 2=8% 3=10% 4=12% 5=14% 6=16% ???

Also the questions for contra-indications - Im assuming you ask the questions but only jot down on the back of the card in the 'notes' section if there is something I need to be made aware of.

As if I answered Y or N next to each question I could only use the client record card once!!

Is it just laid out abit odd or am I having a dizzy moment??

Kim x

Hi Kim

As a rough guide:

Types 1/2 - 5% / EOS / 8%
types 2/3 - EOS / 8% / AG
types 3/4/5 EOS / 8%/10%/ AG
types 5/6 above - 10% / 12%/14% / 18% / AG

with regards the record cards, if you have a regular client coming back for tans, she/he would know the pretreatment advice and although you ask the questions still with regards to exfoliation/moisturiser etc, you wouldn't need to mark down their answers every time so long as they have done the prep (hope that makes sense). However, on the notes section at the back, you can jot down if there are any problems with each tan.

Hope this helps!
