Wel you can use Acrylic paints (Medea are good) for nails BUT ... I question if what Tantrick is saying is actually practical or being completely honest with you.

I would think a taning airbrush needs to have a fairly wide spray pattern and for nails idealy you need a very narrow spray pattern and a very fine mist.

I have airbrushed for years, and my airbrush delivers these two things which is ideal for nails.

Or is what they are saying about being able to use the compressor for both treatments, which of course is feasible as a compressor is pretty much a compressor what ever is being sprayed out the other end!

I am sure you haven't been misinformed Carla... any compressor that is capable of doing duel purpose ie airbrushing nails, body art or body tanning will need different airbrushes for each of the different applications. I used to have three airbrushes with my turbine and sold on my tanning airbrush when I changed to a hvlp compressor.

The compressor itself is capable of doing nail art, body art and spray tanning :)

With my Iwata Smart Jet Pro I use an iwata airbrush for nails (pah when I actually do any!) this was quiet an expensive gun but is quite refined. For the body art I use a badger airgun and this wasn't just as expensive. I use media paints for nails and media body art paints for the airbrush tattoos.

HTH

Hi Jen,

This probably sounds really thick but are you basically saying that the HVLP Compressor can be used to do spray tans (which it does now) and nail art and airbrush tattoo's (obviously with the correct airbrush attachment for the job) ?? I'm looking into the nail art and tattoos and already have the T200 for the tans x

The original poster (as far as I am aware) was meaning the airbrush compressor, not the HVLP T200 or similar.

I think Carla is talking about this one ... see link > TANTRICK Airbrush Pro Mobile Kit

Ah with you now ! I've been researching it that much now that I'm baffling myself ! Thanks for clarifying anyway x
