going to start offering spray tan and am between using st tropez orr tantrick any advice or comments on either tan

With Tantrick you get the choice of percentages, 5%, 8%, 10%, 12%, essence of summer and the new autumn one. This helps ensure you have the best colour to match every skin tone.

With St Tropez there is only one shade that is supposed to suit everyone, I had one once and looked really daft, I was very orange. At the same time my friend who has slightly darker skin had one. She looked lovely with hers.

Round where I live st tropez has a little bit of a name for itself due to the colour it can make some people. I've had a few people phone up asking about tantrick as they've heard st tropez is very orangy. HTH's xx

I have clients who used to use St Tropez but tell me they prefer the colour of Tantrick.

Have you thought about nipping into a salon and having a spray from each of the brands..this may well help you make your mind up

yeah got the tans done the st tropez really suited me i loved it but i hear more positive on tantrick so really want to get the one that sells and cant afford both

Well I haven't tried st tropez so can't comment on that, I liked Tantrick but I love Sienna X :green:

If it's down to those 2 for you I'd go for Tantrick as it has a wider variety of strengths which i think is a must if you want to get the right tans for your customers. If St Tropez comes in one size fits all I would despair if I was a freckly red head  as I wouldn't want to be tangoed.

If you're still open there are a lot of other decent solutions about like Sienna x and Celebrity Secrets that have a range of strengths and are great solutions.

We use, distribute (in the south wales area only) and train Celebrity Secrets because we liked the solution and also the retail products are at a good price points that make them affordable to customers.

My general advice on tanning solution is pick a decent one (and Tantrick, Sienna and CS are all decent ones) and see what the cost of solution is - at the end of the day you want the best vfm solution so that you can give good tan and make good profit.

Tantrick all the way ~ I love the fact they have a choice of different percentages of solutions so you can pick which one is going to best suit your client. I haven't been doing spray tans long but I'm very pleased with Tantrick so far xx

def tantrick, our nearest comp uses st tropez and we've taken a lot of their custom. people prefer the colour the smell the price and also the way the tan lasts and fades. they also like the fact that it can be custom blended (shades mixed to suit their skin). take collin up on his offer of a tantrick tan and you wont look back. they also have great back up for you eg, leaflets posters retail items etc. hope this helps xxx

How about trying something different like Liquid Sun from Vani-t? We sell light 6%, medium 8% and dark 12%. You can mix our products with each other to make in between %'s. Will be happy to send you a sample to try.

I found St Tropez wears off leaving your skin a bit like a crocodile, havent tried Tantrick so can't comment sorry.

I use Celebrity Secrets and Vani-T, like them both and they wear off evenly.

Hi there,

Personally I much prefer Liquid-Sun by Vani-t. Found it to be a great colour and never sticky. This solution fades evenly on me, Im quite pale so can notice it more. It doesnt have a strong after smell like some of the others!

Its your own choice at the end of the day. Just get samples and see what you and your clients like.

Good Luck.

Hey Sarah...good to see you on this thread...did you receive the Tantrick spraytan kit and liquid you ordered from us

I'd try to ignore the suppliers views and go for the un-biased views of the geeks that have no interest in selling the product
