I was wondering what you use to finish your nails - how do you get your shiny nails?

Super Shiney Top Coat for polish or Just highly buffed L&P for enhancements

I use U.V Duragloss,and put in U.V lamp for 2 min's

Going down through the grits to get any scratches off the enhancements and then buffing with either a Girlfriend or a Glossing Buffer (or similar). You can also give the nails a coat of Super Shiney as Champagne said, or finish the nails to a 180 grit finish and use a Finishing Gel Gloss.

Depending on what the client wants either the high gloss buffers or a UV gel top coat hth

I work my way through the grits, then when I get to my koala I use the smooth side & apply solar oil onto the nai & buff it into the enhancement with the smooth side. Then use my girlfriend buffer - all 3 sides to bring it up to a super smooth & shiney finish, or if I'm rushed, I get down to a 180 & then use a UV gloss gel top coat like GF21 Quattro (Star Nails)

I buff going up the grits and finish with the lovely green and white glosser.

****If you are going to try this glosser, make sure you only use oil at the very end of the treatment -
Unlike The Girlfriend, the green & white glosser really doesn't like oil!!****

Or

I finish with ProTec UV Top Coat.... I love it!

I use the green & white glosser for my natural nail clients, what a fantastic finish - better IMO than the g/f and I've also used it on enhancements. Great product xx

Sorry hun but i had to point out that solar oil is not recomended with the girlfriend :D xx http://www.salongeek.com/nail-geek/13827-girlfriend-buffer-solar-oil.html

The mini glossers also make fab retail items.

I only ever finnish my nails with a high gloss shine by working through the grits hth's x

I finish with a white block and then the green and white glosser or Brisa top coat.

In my salon I use NSI Glaze N go to finish off acrylics/gels. It gives a really gloss finish without any sticky residue.

Hope this helps.

Eva

I always use a gel topcoat. customers love the high gloss finish and durability of it. In my opinion they also make the white look even whiter.
And euuuhm...i can admit in all honesty that i have become to lazy to go trough my different grits to buff them to a high gloss

Lol, that's fine hun.... I've learned something new :green: Spose it's lucky I don't use the girlfriend

So what I should have said is:
** If you want to try the glossing buffer, do not let it come into contact with any oil - even residue - Because it will die!!! **

For L&P, I use the Girlfriend buffer, or something similar. For Brisa gels, I use Brisa Finishing Gloss, the gel top coat. For natural nails, I use Air Dry or Speedey. :)

I do not think CND Speedy is good for adding a top coat gloss on its own ... that is not what it is for ... it is for a quick drying top coat and is thin and not particularly protective and is normally used over a top coat like CND Super Shiney. It does dry very very fast which is what it is meant to do.

CND AIR DRY on the other hand does both. It is very glossy and protective as well as drying super fast. I LOVE it.

CND Super Shiney is also very protective and does dry quickly but not so quickly as Air Dry.

Honestly, I've had really good luck with the 'shine factor' of Speedy. XOXO :)

Can CND Air Dry be used as a protective top coat on Acrylic L&P as well as natural nails (with enamel)?

I'm looking to convert to CND and received the catalogue today - and am putting an order together - so many different products!!

Yes, it performs equally well over enhanced or natural nails as do most all CND products and treatments.. x
