Testing electrical equipment

Hi,

I've just recently set up my own home salon and was just wondering if you need to have your electrical equipment PAT tested every year when you work from home?

Home salon or not, all electrical equipment used professionally needs PAT annually.

Yep it most certainly does....I believe that some HSS hire shopsundertake this service and are the cheapest as you go to them with your equipment...doesn't take long or cost much.

Alternativley most local NICEIC registered electrical contractors also undertake this service however they are much more expensive as they come to you.

recently had all pat testing done, about £4 per plug. if items are brand new and you have a reciept then it does not need to be pat tersted until 1 year old xx
